How to do it
- Set both pulleys to the lowest setting and stand in the middle with a slight forward lean.
- With soft elbows, sweep your hands up and together in front of your collarbones.
- Lower under control until you feel a stretch across the upper chest.
Cues that matter
- Finish the rep as though you are showing off your upper chest.
- Keep the elbow angle fixed the whole set.
Common mistakes
- Using the front delts to swing the arms up.
- Standing too far forward and losing tension at the bottom.

Same muscle, different kit
Movements that train the same part of the chest with different equipment — for a day the cable is taken, or a gym that does not have one.
